size does matter .. or does it ?

yesterday i was in pune n i saw a 2 feet tall, 5-6 year old geeky looking kit emulating karate moves on a 12 -13 year old 5.5 feet kid. of course the older kid was humouring the little one but the confidence and sincerity of the lil kids efforts got me thinking..

as a kid we all thought the world is our paradise and we are the kings / queens. but as we grew older, we faced challenges, we won some battles .. we lost some .. but we carried on the weight of the lost battles, instead of carrying with us the learning.. we believed many times we cant do something because in past we were not successful or we believed in others judgement.. there is a very nice saying" we judge ourselves by what we are capable of doing and others by what we have already done" and the irony is sometimes we know all this and yet undermine our own gut feeling to go on with majority sentiments.

most of the world leaders, innovators, business tycoons have always belied majority opinion and have had the confidence and desire like this little boy to win it all against all odds, irrespective of other's opinion.. gone ahead and proved new theories to the world and proved all old concepts incomplete. believe in self and iron determination is key to success and the irony is most of us know this and yet dont apply the same.

this little boy once again reminded me of the old lesson. so the world is again my paradise and i the queen go back to find my glory there

haaa you were short of thoughts to put down ... and look at you, when you got one you made it sound real good and inspiring ....
most interestinly from a small little thing ...

at times being in paradise can also be heart-breaking ... hmm
after all king/queen also has a heart ha?

i think it doesnt matter even if we arent in a paradise provided we r on the way to find the glory!

  2. sigh... I wish i had that optimism.. sometimes the problem with being that little kid is that the rest of the world wont bother to humor you till you 'achieve your big breakthrough' in life.. they'll just beat you up and put you in ur place... ya, i know.. it's a pessimistic point of view :)
